Disclaimer
FireEscapePlan.com helps you draw your own floor plan and fire escape plan from measurements you enter. The plans, routes, checks, and reports are only as accurate as the information you provide, and they are generated automatically.
Not an inspection or approval
The checks compare your drawing with general fire-code guidance, such as the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code. They do not account for every rule that may apply to your property, and they are not an inspection, a code review, or an approval. Your local fire marshal, building department, town, county, or licensing agency decides what is required and whether your property meets it.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for measuring accurately, checking that the printed plan matches your property, keeping smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, extinguishers, and exits in working order, and following the rules that apply where you live or operate. Practice your plan and keep exits clear.
In an emergency
If there is a fire, get out and call 911. Do not rely on any plan if conditions require a different way out.
